This photo is of East Compound, taken from the German guard tower, or "goon tower" in Kriegie lingo, that was at the end of the fence line that separated East Compound and Center Compound. The view looks NNE. The large building across the tree line is a huge grainery just outside the town of Sagan, near the railroad tracks.
